Memorable Choral Chords: Solutions

 [E]: Last chord of Terry Schlenker’s Timor et Tremor [2006]; on the last syllable of “Domine.”  This is a multi-octave D♭^add#11 chord, in which the added note G♮ is maximally dissonant with the D♭ chord because it has a tritone relation to the root and a semitone relation to the adjacent A♭.  These dissonances add beating which gives the chord a fluttering effect.
